Wiki¶
This is a little iPhone app I made for myself over a weekend after getting a new Sharp® LE835 television for Christmas. Maybe one day Sharp will have an iPhone app for their TVs, but they did not. Hunting around on the Apple® AppStore® I found one application, but it was expensive (like $10 or something). I tried it out but it was so complicated and confusing to use it was not worth it. I just wanted something basic, simple and easy to use to control my television.
After making this for myself, I kind of liked it and figured other people might too. I do a bit of iPhone development for other companies already and figured 'what the heck' - polish it up some and finally have an application of my own on the AppStore!

Requirements¶
- You need to have a home wireless network so your iPhone can talk to your TV. Your TV itself does not need to be on wireless (has a regular ethernet cable) as long as it is on the same home network. Basically your iPhone® needs to be able to talk to your TV via the iPhone WiFi connection.
- Your television must support 'IP Control' and also the newer version of that - see Supported Televisions for the list of supported televisions.
- Your iPhone (or iPad® or iPod® must be running Apple iOS 4.2 or higher - see Supported Apple Devices
Setup¶
First confirm that you meet the requirements above - a home WiFi network, television and Apple device that is supported.
If you meet the requirements, then just follow the Setup Instructions.
